It would need many gates, though of course you may mean gates for the bike racks? That should be doable? This could explain why there are so few bikes there in the picture.</p> <p>It is not the only example which the planners have allowed like this, and it contravenes their own parking standards. This student accommodation development for Edinburgh University has resisted temptation to allow cars in. Old town location is ideal for walking and of course bikes.</p> <p>Racks are covered but of hanging type. I counted two bikes but they could hold around 200 I reckon.
