It really struck me how many people there were on bikes, seemingly more than ever. It struck me even more that a decent percentage of these were female. Still by no means a majority but getting nearer to an even split.</p> <p>I cycle into and around Manchester from time to time and I would say the gender balance in Edinburgh is much more even than Manchester.
