Bringing down the buildings at the end of their useful life is appropriate, and why not incorporate it into a regeneration theme, which after all is exactly what's happening? In comparison to a fireworks display ... aren't fireworks simply a derivation of weapons of war and destruction?</p> <p>I don't believe it's insensitive either; some previous residents may get a bit sentimental about it, as we all do at times about events &amp; times in our pasts, but life must go on.</p> <p>And I'm sure they'll close any cycle paths in the vicinity.
