Plenty of scope for single and multi-bike units and various materials - eg scrap wire rope from cranes

There's a totem pole and some artpigs and artsheep around Southrey/Kirkstead. Also loads of deliberately-installed glass on the 'summer' path by Bardney.

I was on the Boston to Lincoln cycle path and there were quirky stands shaped like bicycles, along with some industrial waste art, of cows shaped from old chains. You can scroll down here and see one.

http://rosiebell.typepad.com/rosiebell/2011/05/prevailing-winds.html

There'd be a lot of scope for ornamental bike stands.

I thought you could get more ornamental ones. In fact in some places like outside the art gallery they should have more ornamental ones, just like they have Victorian looking lamp stands.

Interesting idea.

Would need to be a bit more than a standard Sheffield rack(?)

Walking through Princes Street where there are all those memorial seats In Loving Memory to XY, it occurred to me that people could put up memorial bike stands. I'd certainly like my family to do that after my death. How would you go about that?
