I sometimes think I want a Park TS-3 or even a Hozan C-330, but actually I like my Ultimate truing stand very much. I used it a couple of times this weekend in fact to diagnose a problem and then to put a new hub in a wheel.

some less scrupulous individual gave me a link to the pdf version of Roger Muson`s book which I printed out for my own use but unfortunately (though not for Roger) it has been removed from tinterweb.

If your willing to pay the £9 I can highly recommend it and even has plans to build you own wheel jig

see my own homemade version from his plans

978-0960723669 I believe. I see however that some less scrupulous individuals have turned his book into a PDF that is available to all and sundry.

Personally, I like to have a proper book because books don't require electricity and I can scribble my own annotations on a book.

I would still recommend Jobst Brandt's book because it's so straight-to-the-point. I used it just the other day in fact, to remind myself of whether inbound or outbound spokes go in first.

Getting hold of Brandt's book isn't too hard but I'm surprised at how expensive it now is. My copy, somewhat helpfully annotated by the previous owner, came from a charity shop many years ago for about £2.

There's a section about it in Zinn which is fairly similar to the stuff on Sheldon.

I'm looking for a book on cycle wheel building. I've heard of Roger Musson's book which I understand is available in digital format and Jobst Brandt's 'The Bicycle Wheel'. I prefer paper to computer screen (I'm old skool) and would appreciate any suggestions for a book I can still get hold of.

Cheers,
