It's only five minutes quicker than cycling with the wind behind and ten minutes quicker against the wind. At the same time, I missed the ride on the canal, including the array of familiar faces (2 Kool for Skool, Gembo's Ent, Martin Clunes, Sleeves Up, Upsidedown Riser Bar Guy, Purple Helmet Lady, The Suit, Maximum Spaceman...) and the bucolic greenery. My occasional glimpses of the canal had me longing for the tranquility of the towpath... </p>
