Got in touch with a supplier and I got a new hinge for £8 including postage. These were the "old" evil eyes too i.e. also no longer sold.</p> <p>gluing doesn't help without something solid like a bit of metal to provide structure. However the hinge broke went dropped. Specifically the "male" end on one arm - the plastic bit that wraps around the metal thingamajig. </p> <p>I can put a photo up if that helps (tomorrow).</p> <p>I did try and buy a used pair on ebay but they don't come cheap (enough). </p>
