We use event right at our cinema and it is funded by donations (on the door in the night) so must be possible to use it without registering card details.

Eventbrite are doing the tickets for the bicycle breeze in Glasgow Green and that only allows single tickets. I contacted the organiser but haven't had a reply.

I think I may have found a way for getting EventBright to issue people with a ticket, but without having to give card details. As I say above this is a learning process, and apologises to anyone who feels they have been unfairly charged.

EventBright is the only ticketing service which offers a ticket by donation service that I know of, if anyone knows of another one please let me know.

Using EventBright is something of a learning curve, as they don't tell you, clearly up front, about how the ticketing charges levied. I don't particularly like the way in which it works, but now that it has been set up I am stuck with it.

The issue of extra charges being levelled is because the suggested donation has been set below £5. Above £5 and the whole charge comes off the donated amount and there appear to be are no up front charges to the ticket buyer. The event organiser gets charged about 15% of the total donated amount by EventBright.

The reason the event is ticketed is so that I can find out before hand how many people are likely to come. It is also much quicker getting people into the venue if people just show a ticket. There is a very tight time scale on this talk.

Yes you can come and give a donation on the night (or not as you please), but those holding tickets will have priority for entry.

There is no charge for entry, but a donation of ~£4 to help cover cost would be appreciated.

and yet I can't register unless I provide my card details.....

I assume EventBright are the only website I can get tickets through?

I have had to buy a ticket (I am a member of the Kickstarter for TRWNBFC) and beware the more you donate, the more Eventbright take as administration!

Kim, tried the website the other evening but it wouldn't let me register for any more than 1 ticket, was after 2? (Even if I try and donate much more than £4.)

Or do I have to complete the process twice?
