The Hackathon will be of particular interest to software developers and those working with open data, but anyone is welcome to attend.<br /> Since its launch in 2013, Edinburgh Apps has offered people the opportunity to work with Council and other partners to find digital solutions to improve the lives of those living, working and visiting the city. Apps currently in development include NeateBox, which helps visually impaired people navigate pedestrian crossings, and Airts, which timetables the schedule of the Council’s joint storage equipment trucks more efficiently.
