In my defence, I ride at "a fair clip" where appropriate, and slow considerably for people, particularly with dogs. </p> <p>Did I pass you just before the tunnel, having sat behind you for a second until you noticed me, and I sneaked by on the right once past the muddy puddles?</p> <p>If it was me, I recall slowing considerably (to the point of literally trackstanding) for the dopey old ladies who were taking up the entire path with their two small pooches. I thanked them as I passed, although to be honest, their efforts to allow me past didn't really deserve thanks! (Does anyone else do that? Thank people, when you were the one more inconvenienced?! I guess it is like passing people on one way roads in the car or on the bike, when you thank the person for thanking you!)</p> <p>I did pass another female cyclist down there too this morning, although she was riding rather sedately (and very politely thanked me for giving her a "passing on your right") so I don't suppose she ragged past these grumpy pooch owners either. Clearly they were just having a bad morning.</p> <p>Anyway, if you are referring to me - not guilty. So I asked, are you talking to me or the dogs? It was me she was talking to. I am afraid I invited her to bile her heid as I was in fact stopped so had slowed down so she was complaining to me about something I had done.</p> <p>Now I feel bad because I am guessing the guy in front took them a bit on the speedy side and I was receiving his heckle.</p> <p>What larks </p>
