IIRC he stopped cycling after an uncle warned him it would shorten his hamstrings.</p> <p>Not aware of any current footballers being keen cyclists, although ex-pro Lee Dixon is pften wheeled out as someone who took it up after his career finished. I have read stories about cricketers and rugby players cycling for fitness.
