Fortunately the hatch back was opening, giving a softer landing than there might have been. However his bike frame was severely bent.</p> <p>So it is possible to "fail to observe stationary vehicles". The bike was in two pieces, broken a few inches behind the stem. The police were interviewing two young lads when I passed (prob about 5mins after the ambulance had arrived as it had gone wailing down the road when I was about at the red bridge heading north).<br /> The ambulance was parked, no obvious sign of the cyclist, so they were perhaps inside the ambo working on him/her.
