<description>&#60;p&#62;Anyone else read Chris Mullin's &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/mar/15/books-peter-hain-chris-mullin&#34;&#62;A View from the Foothills&#60;/a&#62;?  I remember that he got a lot of mention when the new govt came in, because of his struggle to get rid of his official car -- and figured that this was because that particular anecdote is on page 5.  But actually (100 pages in or so), he continues to go on quite a lot about pro-bike/anti-car stuff (perhaps partly because he is in the Environment/transport dept). Interesting to get his perspective on diversity of attitudes within the Blair govt on such things. Nary a mention of him actually &#60;u&#62;riding&#60;/u&#62; a bike though.
