I've bought a silly Merckx single speed, and a Carradice saddle bag to go with it. The bars under the saddle are too close together (30mm instead of 45mm needed I think). Unfortunately it's not just a case of a new saddle, but possibly a new seat post. I tried fitting a spare seat post clamp, but it doesn't sit properly on top of the seat post.<br /> Any tips or advice?
