Whoosh through the park and up the far side, coming out on Marionville Road. Up to London Road (busy - but not far), down Abbey Lane, Abbeyhill, Croft-an-Righ and into Holyrood park. So probably round the back of Holyrood Park. The details I'm not sure about though. I don't know which of the side streets are rat runs and which are pleasant.
