This is still there cut into the grass. No sewers. On the cycle path round the meadows after this the bike lane was chocka with joggers, students taking selfies holding cups of coffee, babies in prams. Almost at Tills I had pointed from a distance to a couple of women and a baby in a big pram blocking the whole bike lane whilst the walking side was entirely empty. As I passed one of the woman looked at me as if i had crawled out from under a stone [though perhaps that is how she always looks?] I meant to think inside thoughts but came out - Looks disgusted but at least on the correct side now. She did not like this. I did encounter a vehicle being reversed along the road towards me as I was heading towards the Meadows on the remaining part of the road which remains open. Looks like mono block not sewers.</p> <p>What you do is turn into the street where the cycle lane is on the south side. So yes would be conflict if anyone cycling the other way but that is rare. The contractor on the ground have needed prodded multiple times in these first few days of the works to establish and also to maintain the cycleway space. Idea was that it would take bulk of cyclists and use of the ‘spur’ would be reduced, such that it’s poor design and inadequate width didn’t matter. </p>
