I've got an exposed gas pipe to our living room fire that I want capped off. </p> <p>I did try a couple of people but it must be too small a job or something, because the quotes were a bit of a laugh. I would give up my career and retrain if that was really the going rate for closing up a pipe and doing a leak test. </p>
