A bus is 2.55 over body and typically 2.7-2.8 over mirrors. </p> <p>That's 3 strikes on the same stretch 2 in just 100m of Atholl Place.</p> <p>Should have put trams under Princes Street like all major European Cities have done/are planning for city centre routes. Based on Scotland Street Tunnel construction records I'd expect that subgrade is largely alluvial deposit around a possible basalt plug or dyke at the Western end. </p> <p>As ORR is not regulator for Trams in Scotland none of the incidents has been investigated by RAIB.
