UPDATE

"
Speakers will provide delegates with an insight into cycling policy, cycling events and increasing participation in cycling as well as examples of new developments and practical work ongoing in the community, education and workplace settings.

Delegates will increase their awareness and understanding of the cycling sector in Scotland and learn more about a wide range of initiatives, policies and plans that are underway across the country to promote and develop cycling. The conference will allow delegates to share their ideas, network, debate key issues with speakers and share good practice with fellow delegates.

Speaker Focus

Marshall Poulton
Head of Transport, City of Edinburgh Council
Marshall Poulton is Head of Transport with the City of Edinburgh Council. He joined the Council in 2008 from Transport for London where he was Head of Technology and Major Projects. Prior to this he worked at Glasgow City Council, most recently as Head of Planning, Policy and Design.

Notably, since joining the City of Edinburgh Council, the Council has signed the Charter of Brussels and developed an Active Travel Action Plan, approved this September.

This year’s conference is a partner event of Spokes, CTC and Cyclenation’s conference in Edinburgh the following day.
