<description>&#60;p&#62;Well, if you take up cycling you'll invariably be run over by a car, and if you avoid that fate, fall off on your own account and die horribly that way.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So long as cycling is seen as something dangerous that requires special survival equipment / training (carefully not mentioning any specifics), you could perhaps argue that the rational decision for most people *is* to get sedentary and fat and die early of preventable disease.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Because a violent death in the near future makes even that look like a good outcome :)

&#60;p&#62;&#34;And if the UK managed to match levels of physical exercise in The Netherlands - the best among the countries studied, that would prevent approximately 2,000 cases.&#34;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Cycling isn't actually mentioned, but... earlier this morning the story was illustrated with a picture of a large bike park somewhere in the Netherlands.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Wonder why they changed it?
