Likewise, you get small, overpowered, inefficient cars. (!)</p> <p>It's something of a blunt instrument, given that it will not impact anyone with a driveway/garage to park their car on/in, anyone who commutes into town in these bigger vehicles, or indeed commercial vehicles. It will, however, impact people who don't use the vehicle on a daily basis, causing no pollution most of the time. But if you own a band 5 vehicle then chances are you can afford an extra £160 a year (it's not much more than a tank of diesel now) and so this price banding is unlikely to cause behavioural change or downsizing.</p> <p>It's hardly road pricing, is it?
