Having arrived at about 0745 to find PY itself shut I repaired to Starbucks where I nursed a latte on my own. I was five minutes from packing up to go to the dentist when I saw Morningsider swing by, but I was tucked away at the back and didn't wave or anything because I was just about to leave and thought it would be unfair to drag him in and then abandon him... Lesson for me is that this is an occasion when a smart phone would be useful so that I could have posted plaintive messages about my predicament.
