SRD - yep

Tandem on bike stand by HankChief, on Flickr

It's rated to 30kg so the tandem is within limit but not by much. There was a bit of wobble on it as you would expect but manageable and much better than trying to cope without it.

You can extend it higher for a lighter bike.

Couldn't find my usual spare-rear-mech-or-cassette-or-chain in EBC's web this year. Vaguely considering the halfish-price Vaude bar bag as a replacement camera bag, but as always the problem of lights peeking over it is dissuading me.

Equivalent of Lidl one is available on ebay at £26 incl postage (Here, for example ). Great for the cash, just a bit of a hassle to set up and take down, with those legs. You can get a wall mounted version too, if you own your flat!

I popped in yesterday to pick up a replacement for my lost computer.

Shop was empty.

When I were a lad I remember queues, rummaging in the boxes for bargains, hovis adverts

That sale has started on line. I already bought the wrong trousers

The park stand is better than the EBC one but the choice is limited

Some big amounts of money off bikes but often in only one size

Is the £12.99 reduced to £11.04 mini tune up any use?

I bought it in last year's sale. It's fine for cleaning/very minor tinkering such as adjusting brakes or gears. Not so much for anything more involved.

Yeah, had taken a look at the co-op sale. Wasn't sure what to make of those prices. Seemed to be nothing mid-range at all. Just under £12 or over £70?

Is the £12.99 reduced to £11.04 mini tune up any use?

Amazon has various ones between £20-40 - any recommended brands?

Check out the PDF file in the EBC sale, think they have their own one, a park one and a Topeak one. Starts tomorrow but sometimes on line before

From recollection the park one, was dearer but the topeak one was same price as their own one, which suggests to me their own one is too dear. All far pricier than the LIDL one. They had foot stands as well which are good for gear adjustments and checking things out but the mechanics then generally switch to the bigger stands

I imagine theses stands will be on their website just now without the reduction.

Though I spotted a castelli Gabba Jersey in size medium only (too small for me) slightly cheaper than wiggle/chain reaction in the PDFs list but not on the website. Probably the version one of the Gabba - I see it is on to version two now. Nice but too dear.

We're looking for a work stand. Don't want to spend a fortune, nor to buy a cheap one that's not much use. Suggestions?

(Obviously a lidl one had been considered, but we'd like one sooner)
