Some of the other buildings, well they're competent but pretty bland. You really could be anywhere. Is a huge Premier Inn really the sort of high prestige development the council were after? Maybe they were never taken to see the skyline from the north.</p> <p>My home village embarrassingly maintained its increasingly out-of-date "Winner of the Best Kept Village 1989" sign-appendages long after the title could have been judged to have expired.
