4-or-5 storey mock sandstone-clad, flat-roofed, featureless box with full length windows and a set-back "penthouse" top floor must be the bog-standard design for a block of flats in Edinburgh these days. They must have a factory churning them out somewhere.

2 New applications have been added to the list of 16th Feb. I think one of the new apps was for demolition of the prisoner officers club in Longstone, and this was the other one.

Demolition of existing residential villa and erection of 4 storey flatted development [11 Flats]. Removal of some trees and planting of additional trees.

Nothing new of interest, although it looks like I was right when I said I thought new apps were being added to previous weeks lists.

Within the council system you can go in and select "applications validated in week" and there's a drop down of weeks. Last week I took a note of the number of applications per week, and they differ from this weeks totals.

So how and why are new applications being added to older weeks? Sometimes you only have 3 weeks to object to an application.

As of 15 March
Week beginning 9 March - 53 applications
Week beginning 2 March - 81 (35 new apps added to old list)
Week beginning 23 Feb - 153 (same)
Week beginning 16 Feb - 127 (+2)

As of 8th March
Week beginning 2 March - 46 applications
Week beginning 23 Feb - 153
Week beginning 16 Feb - 123
