Yes, the question is awful! Presumably not asked by the same person who wrote the article which is actually rather good.

Hilariously, STV Edinburgh's Facebook page has announced that "Hundreds voted against the petition to introduce a law in Scotland that would see drivers take automatic responsibility in accidents with cyclists - full results here." http://edinburgh.stv.tv/articles/313690-mark-beaumont-backs-petition-for-presumed-liability-in-drivers/ Amusingly, from a brief glance, the graphic results of the poll appear to show that 20% voted for 'tick' while 80% voted for 'tick'. Ok, it does say 'yes' and 'no' faintly above the two ticks, but it isn't as clear as it could be.

I have responded to STV on Facebook saying that 'No, hundreds didn't vote against the presumed liability petition; in fact, they voted against the misleadingly framed question of your poll which asked "Should drivers be liable for all accidents with cyclists?"'

The discussion which resulted from the original post about the poll on Sunday morning was quite depressing.
