The paths are already well lit. The problem is the park is quiet at night and there are huge dark areas, away from the paths, were undesirable types can lurk. I think I'm right in saying that the lady commuters of her office universally avoided the Barnton path after dark for this reason, which may have contributed to her choice.</p> <p>As we probably all know, cycling on the A90 is pretty unpleasant. She gave up cycling there after a while and the other lady commuter I would see doing that run has also packed it in.
