My home contents don't care what lock I use either inside or outside the house (I asked). Fair enough the travel insurers do specify a lock, but then they go on to specify "electronic tagging" for bikes worth over £1000 (and for bikes + bits that total over £1000 which seems ridiculous since components are not necessarily going to stay attached to a stolen bike). Personally I suspect that it's really in there because lots of people won't and then they have a cast-iron excuse to refuse to pay... But I still need one.
