&#60;p&#62;This is the detailed application for a new Aldi store in Portobello, filling in the blanks in the original application - the PCC link explains it better:&#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;For me, from a cycling/walking point of view, it's a bit of a disaster - too many car spaces, no paths through or ocross the car park, reversing articulated lorries across path crossings, poorly laid out junction with Portobello High street...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;This development, with the larger residential development it sits next to, would have been a great chance to get a path through from the end of Fishwives Causeway west of SHL Road down to the prom, via Westbank street maybe.
