After years being empty, the big plot on South Gyle Broadway that used to be the Scottish &amp; Newcastle distribution yard is being turned over for housing. There's another big vacant plot on the Crescent by the Royal Mail that used to be GEC / Ferranti. </p> <p>A lot of the office blocks in the older part of the park are empty or underutilised and have been for some years. </p> <p>Edinburgh Park is only half developed, it's still about 50% wasteland.
