From our hols.

Getting tooted at by young couple in mini with bikes on back for not using the cycle route alongside. To be fair they maybe were just making sure we knew we could slow to 5mph to make a 90 degree turn onto it.

We were on the large tandem with luggage heading to our next stop

Modern cycling uses the bike as a car transported sport accessory. Actually going places on a bike...? no... too many cars!

I managed the shock the staff at Criterium yesterday by actually using my carbon speed machine...

I was coming down the granites when I realised I could stop in there and get my creaky BB looked at.

At that point I was a hundred+ miles into a long ride (which started in England and in the rain) with both me and the bike covered in a large amount of gunk.

I certainly stood out walking through Dobbies.

Brompton oily bits fold into the middle. The only problem I ever had was the 54T chainring which sticks out a bit.

Mine can be generally manky but they're not new.

Saturday was probably the cleanest cx race I've done, and I still have to give the bike a thorough going over.

I think we've added another element now, was the driver wearing a tracksuit, or football top? I have to admit I do find that one odd too.

Yes, but actually riding it (and getting it filthy) is an automatic fail!

A bit like wearing a tracksuit but never actually doing any sport.

I posted a pic last night on FB of a page from a Viz comic that I stole from Twitter (following this?) for a new magazine called Theoretical Cyclist, for all your buying the kit to look good but never actually going out on the bike needs.

That said, I looked very green and trendy with the bike on my car roof at the weekend ;)

Age of the car? Not sure I'd want to put a possibly oily Brommie on the back seat (actually, even of an old car) without a blanket, which he may not have had?

What's that saying? Put 17 cyclists in a room and you'll get 32 different opinions? :P

He's named this folder Ben because it Folds.

Like

As was partial to a bit of the old Ben Folds Five

That linkee also states the popularity of the twenty generated by old Sheldon

Also that weefoldingbike's Triumph was a brand, Raleigh liked their motorbikes. - BSA. And the Twenty kept Raleigh afloat.

Also enjoying the picture of the 1961 Raleigh Winkie tricycle as I have a similar model but not a Winkie.

If you've got it, flaunt it. Though our seasoned weefoldingbike Brompton user would be cycling on the bypass with his folding bike if this was legal. The old ring road also a good route for a Brompton.

There was a very perverse bike at Peter's yard on Friday, it was like a folding bike but not sure if it did, it also had some sort of suspension on the front. That is not to say I didn't admire it as in point of fact, I did.
