They seem to be really influencing priorities in the area, campaigning for traffic calming, crossings, benches, car parking etc</p> <p>As organised bodies they can apply for funding from various charitable bodies for a wide variety of things. </p> <p>They do need motivated people to attend and to actually do stuff. Do they have any real effect on local council policy or are they just forums for complaining about bins/cyclists/students? </p>
