The low seat just killed it for me. Felt so uncomfortable and the drivetrain (it's a drive shaft right?) just felt like it was super inefficient. Also the tyres are so thin that it was a bit squirrelly to stand up. Not ideal. I think that they need to reethink the seat height thing. I'm not THAT tall. Mobikes aren't brilliant, although they feel like a pinarello in comparison to oBikes (the app is much better too) The lack of gears on Mobikes mean they're not suitable here anyway. I'm very curious what the Ofo ones are like I haven't tried those yet.</p> <p>But if the cycling infrastructure is good then the slowness isn't such a big issue. Not really impressed. It was all a bit cramped and tough. Hardly an easy ride. I was hungry though and riding to food so maybe that ruined it. </p> <p>Seat only adjusts about 3 inches. The drive shaft thing is weird feeling. </p> <p>Riding it like a BMX seemed to be the most comfortable way. Maybe better for smaller people than I. Took a bike on a quick tour of the Meadows. Feels sturdy, but not quite as stately as a Boris bike. The three-speed gears have a reasonable range for lowish-speed urban cycling and easily handled the slope of MMW. Certainly preferred it to the Glasgow Nextbike - also app and bluetooth lock seem very smart.</p> <p>Nifty touch that bikes can be re-distributed by e-bikes towing a trailer that can carry four bikes. I think this re-distribution and on-street parking are the main issues with a dockless system.
