(Have maintained love of Tolkein, haven't read Conan Doyle in a loong time). And watched most of the Harry Potters. I will never watch a dramatization of Arthur Ransome's books, which I am currently re-reading. It would be much too painful. The CBC did an 'Anne of Green Gables' series that was better than most. Some of the Dorothy Sayers dramatizations have been pretty good.
