However, looking again yesterday I think they may have been <em>removing</em> one instead as the fancy one they're seen attending to in the photo has gone. Especially when these items have to be redone due to contractor error.</p> <p>The signage could be simpler, cheaper but more useful even for people unfamiliar with a route.</p> <p>A person whose job is signage? It seems to me that putting up signs is an easy way to spend the cycling budget without actually doing anything useful. There are a plethora of route signs (Craigleith junction has three separate direction signposts, while I see a ' caution' sign ( !) had appeared on the path joining the Telford underpass. It all seems such a terrible waste. 99% of the directional signs aren't really needed &amp; in any case, if you are really having to use them they don't provide enough information anyway </p>
