My great-uncle spent his working life creating working models in the NMS on Chambers Street. When I was younger, they used to show the name of the model-maker in the case beside the exhibit, so I could always tell the ones he'd made or if he'd been part of the team who made them.</p> <p>Uncle Jim died in the early 90s. I've always wanted to see if the museum kept a note of the modelmakers, so I could revisit any which were still on display. </p> <p>One of the things he left behind were rolls and rolls of film negatives (he had a serious photography habit at one time), and around 10 years ago I spent a year going through them all and printing any interesting ones in the Leith Camera Club's darkroom.
