Wasn't it the follow up to the consultation evenings? I went to the Musselburgh one and it was interesting to see how many others had already highlighted issues I raised - the ideas were written all over the maps on the tables. Incidentally there is a very pleasant route on minor roads passing to the south of the Tyne next to Hailes Castle. If not it will be just as bad as the shared-use footpath which already exists towards Dunbar from East Linton - a glass-strewn horror.<br /> The roundabouts at the Haddington end can be avoided by joining the A199 at the Abbeymill Farm Junction.<br /> And I agree with you about the side-road give-ways. On the segregated path past Thorntonloch by the side of the A1 cyclists have to give-way at every side road, farm road and house entrance. Another example of it being illegal to cycle on the pavements, except where it's not.</p> <p>Apart from breaking at all the side roads, getting on and off at the Haddington end is particularly problematic where it breaks down to a series of footpaths skirting around two large motorway exit roundabouts. <a href="http://bit.ly/1H47o0y" rel="nofollow">http://bit.ly/1H47o0y</a></p> <p>Painful. </p>
