@unhurt Maybe @Iain McR will be able to judge the coffee quality as well because all I can judge is 'does it taste like coffee?' :)

I went to Ferry Tasty this arvo. There was one cyclist in the shop when I arrived and another waiting outside when I was leaving, so it's a popular place. You can bring your bike inside which is really handy.

The decor is cycling shirts and frames. I think the owner keeps his commuting bike in the shop as well (at least the bike looked dirty enough to be used as a regular commuting bike). They stock tubes and little bottles of chain lube (useful info for @IWARTS).

I had stovies, cappucino cheesecake and tea. Stovies come with cake, I was told. All very nice.

There is a carpark round the corner with benches and tables overlooking the waterfront and the bridges and that's where I had my lunch.

I wish there was a nice route to S Queensferry from Livi so I could visit it more often. I went through East Calder, Newbridge and Kirkliston. I definitely prefer my more rural roads south-west of Livingston. At least no traffic jam in Kirkliston for a change.

EH30 9RA South Queensferry

The owner is a cyclist and post photos from his rides on his days off.
The food looks good and sounds very friendly. I am planning to head over today on my way home.
