I'd want to test the sensor which switches it on/off according to light levels. If it's well positioned that's fine but if it's poorly positioned, other directional light sources could cause it to switch off even in the gloom.

@Min don't forget the Knog Blinder front light, with guarantee from Ronseal.

Part of me wants to ask you if that is a real thing. A bigger part of me already knows it is. :-o

Am I mistaken, or does the video excerpt showing the light being attached show a white light being attached to the seat post as a rear light?.....

If so there could be a market amongst a certain cohort of "cyclists" around Edinburgh (don't think at the price it will crack the Ninja market however!)! :-)

I don't think I need a blaze burner light. I might save the money and get some kill-o-zap death socks and some godzilla nuclear blast ray gloves to keep out the winter chill. In other words, I think we may have reached the Bicycle Accessory Event Horizon.

Thorough testing on cobbles is all very well but I've managed to shake loose things fastened with forces much stronger than magnetism.

I'm another who mounts their light on a rack or rack pack and don't need another rear light so didn't go for it. The £30 option is now all gone and the next level selling fast.

This sentence caught my eye though:
"Unreliable, dim and unsafe bike lights on a budget are now a thing of the past."

Why they think a £50 rear light counts as budget I'm not sure. In fact I'm not sure there are many more expensive options out there.

i was tempted (I'm such a pushover for these things), but it looks like it will only work on a seatpost fitting, which isn't much use on a tandem, or for a short person.

Ha, when I read "Blaze Burner Light" I thought of this recent xkcd comic:

http://xkcd.com/1603/

Could also apply to "Those too-bright lights"

I think this has just been launched today so still 100+ early bird backers for £30. New rear light from the people who did the Blaze Lazer Light
