It's the closest thing to a boarding house that I know, and serves communal meals that are more sociable than eating alone in a hotel. The problem is that my flat-mate-to-be doesn’t arrive in Edinburgh himself until February, so I’m thinking it may be easier for me to arrange my own accommodation for January and wait for him come up. It also gives me a further month to look for a good flat – and its a lot easier to do that living in Edinburgh instead of 300 miles away!</p> <p>So, can anyone recommend a decent B&amp;B or budget hotel I could use? I’m hoping I might get a decent price for January with it being the quietest month of the year. Or, do such a thing as Boarding Houses still exist?
