Didn't say much more than 'electric bikes might persuade some motorists to get out of their cars'.

Its function of the controller so i would expect any of the better ones would be able to do it even the cheaper ones probably can if you got a better controller.

Is the Electric Bike Company contact here on forum....

Well worth talking to them as they have been supplying bikes longer than most. Kirk Brae will allow you to recharge and save brake wear at same time!

ps Laid back and I tried one out commuting and utility use. The commute in from Sherriffhall and back was a skoosh! Controls take some getting used to and you have to accept going slower downhill to help top up the battery as much as possible. The standing traffic at lights gets a fright when you accelerate away like Meat Loaf (Bat outa' Hell).

Hi All

I moved about six months ago to Liberton. On my daily commute I've seen many more elec bikes/interesting dutch-style front and rear loading cargo bikes than I saw in the City Centre (must be the hills cause more elec bikes and more space for bike storage for the bigger bikes perhaps).

Ok, I've only seen two elec ones coming down Kirk Brae on the way to Ed Uni Kings Buildings, but I'm still interested.

Does anyone on here have an elec bike? What are they like? How goes battery life? How long does it take to charge? Does it feel as heavy as it looks (the bike)? Can I have a go?

Yours, interested in something to get me up Kirk Brae on a Friday evening after a long week at work/commuting!

James.
