I cycled between the cones on Tarvit Street before getting off to push around parked vehicles, then getting back on and waiting for a suitable gap to head up Gilmore Place. Whilst Tarvit Street is closed as stated, it seems that the work is currently being carried out around the corner on Leven Street. Tarvit Street itself appears to be in use only as a parking area for the contractors so its closure seems a bit suspect... Adding an extra direction (or a pedestrian sequence for that matter!) to the temporary traffic light sequence would no doubt cause even more conjestion. It is a shame that the cycle route to the canal isn't there yet. </p>
