On the 700x25 slicks - big mistake! (or should that be, mis-skate?) Once over the bridge I was confronted with frozen slush / snow / tyre tracks. I managed to negotiate that by steering down the snowy bits to avoid sliding. Half-way down I thought the ordeal was over as the ground looked pretty firm. Firm it was, unfortunately it was a solid layer of c.2 inches of ice which I think has formed from run-off of the brewery site.
