Cars coming the other way, proceeded to cross the central line, and pass two buses that were at the stop/ waiting for the stop. The drivers simply pointed their cars at me, as though there was no traffic there at all. The driver of the first car did eventually come to a halt rather than wipe me out, and wound down her window to complain. I pointed at the arrows, which are there to guide traffic. After some time, the front bus departed, and I moved on, leaving some confusion in my wake. However, "traffic" is not "polite and assertive". Ok, it's a bit vehicularist, but that is the reality that most commuters face. Of course the priorities should be much much better infrastructure but this might encourage more people to try cycling to work or school.
