I actually phoned Cycle Law earlier before I saw these messages. I was really stressed because I didn't know what I should or shouldn't do. Chris at Cycle Service recommended Cycle Law. Spoke to them, they clarified everything for me. Nothing to do now until I meet with the police on Friday, they will handle everything and if I want to pay to have bike fixed now either myself or through home insurance I can do and they will seek to recover. Really excellent first impression of them.</p> <p>@dave wasting energy is the right way to put it- this whole thing has exhausted me to be honest. It seemed I had got off relatively scot free but my shoulder just didn't get better. I ended up being referred for physio more than a month after being knocked down and requiring about 15 sessions. There have been changes to the markings here this year to put in cycle lanes that aren't on Google yet. Were you heading along A703 towards Hillend and van turned left from Bush? Say I've reported it to the police if I feel comfortable doing so. If he doesn't provide it then they'll get it from him after they meet me on Friday.</p> <p>So, not as straightforward as hoped.</p> <p>I don't want to get into ascribing fault with him, but even if it was partly down to fault with the lights I was only doing 14mph and he should have seen me. Google maps isn't up to date and I can't remember if that feeder road is still give way now that there are lights there? It was still the main road that I was on so I presume right of way still?</p> <p>He didn't say he wouldn't send his address and licence plate though which is all I need. Maybe best just to give him until tomorrow to send that through...
