Giant screens set up in a few locations, Lyon won 2-0, cue people taking up every last bit of space, car horns, flags from windows. A wonderful wonderful celebratory atmosphere. In the late 60's, early 70's I travelled on the same supporters bus as Sammy to away games. They gave up loads of time and think their inclusive nature got children interested in a physical activity. For me it mean many saturday out on tandem ferrying daughter to places like Wardie. I know many would say cycling is more important than football but any activity is better than none! Ideally schools should do both.</p> <p>Anyway - they are a fixture along with rivals Hearts. Both have kept stadiums in the city where fans can go on foot if they wish.</p> <p><em>If anyone has a good news story connecting Hibs success and cycling then by all means add!</em> </p>
