Though works for Bruce Springsteen too.</p> <p>Their route from Edinburgh to Glasgow was influenced by the fact that they intended to avoid the snarl of traffic leaving the stadium ( works also for a football match but I estimate a pop concert audience is less pished than a football crowd, see also stoned which these days is also the case though was different in early 1980s where the circles were further apart on the Venn diagram). </p> <p>What did they do, the wide awake reader wonders? They drove to cambuslang on south side of Glasgow, avoiding err, Glasgow at all. They then cycled to hampden and used bicycle parking near the chip vans. After the gig, which IMHO was the least enjoyable aspect of the evening, they cycled back to their car and then drove home hours before anyone else. These are intelligent people. </p>
