Are their lorries still dropping lots of stones all over the path?

I reported that to the North Team about 6 weeks ago. But they're about as much use as a broken chocolate teapot...

My mistake in my comment above. The Hawthornvale access is only permeable for cycles, not cement trucks.

I'd also suggest taking a photo of them and tweeting it, CCing the citycenterleith team. Very possible the builders haven't requested permission from council and council might not approve it.

Also phone the evening snews and say you were nearly run over by a speeding lorry on the cycle path. they love stuff like that

i'd recommend an urgent email to your councillors and ask them to contact the relevant council 'team'.

@stiltskin

Don't know but a further question and a comment.

Q Does anyone know if permission has to be sought for a vehicle to use a cycle path? There are certainly a lot of them doing so.

Comment. There is a much closer access point to the cycle path at Hawthornvale which would at least reduce the impact significantly because the trucks wouldn't have the distance to pick up much speed before the site.

Anyone any idea of why the builders lorries are allowed to speed up and down the NEPN to the building site just North of Victoria Park? They are travelling from the Leith entrance and I've just come across one doing a good 25mph on the cyclepath.
