That roundabout way from Lasswade Road to the Innocent is a bit of a pain to follow so any signage improvements would also be welcome. Both had a representative from the council and a representative from AECOM (the consultants) who were really helpful and happy to chat in great detail about the plans.</p> <p>I shan't spend time regurgitating all the detail as the good news is that all the stuff will be going onto the council consultation portal in early August and they'll be inviting comments then. Overall though the plans looked pretty reasonable given the constraints.</p> <p>It sounds like there will likely be another round of consultations in September for other parts of work contracted out to AECOM under "Work package 1" detailed at <a href="http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/49691/item_713_-_approval_for_walking_and_cycling" rel="nofollow">http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/49691/item_713_-_approval_for_walking_and_cycling</a> (page 9/10). This is also part of Quiet Route 20. The ped/cycle crossing of Broughton Rd from St Marks Park will be improved and cycle lanes installed on the section of McDonald Road which does not already have them. Also other changes, including removing the road centre line (as the council did for the Gogar Station Road cycle lanes) and installing a raised table at the entrance to McDonald Road.<br />  Quiet Route #61 Wed 27 July, 5-8pm, Craigmillar Library.
