I went today, going through Dalkeith, Pathhead, Whiteadder, Preston, Union Bridge, Berwick. Lovely route, lots of fun after getting over the hills. Probably busier during the week. NCN1 is a bit far for me at the moment, so I'm inclined to take NCN76, but also wondering about taking a more direct (but hillier) route. Does anyone have any suggestions for the latter sort of route? </p>
